In today’s super-connected world, few businesses are restricted by national borders. However, local knowledge and expertise remain important, particularly when it comes to the complexities of accounting and finance. CPAAI is a global association of accounting, tax and business professionals that enables members to share information, experience and opportunities.
In 1957, three firms from Los Angeles, Minneapolis and San Francisco formed a group of independent CPA firms, the first of its kind in the United States, to improve their practices and assist each other with client work.
Over the decades many changes and advances have taken place to bring the Association to where we are today; a global organisation providing quality services and resources to members across the globe. The structure of the Association creates a platform for professionals to share information, resources, fresh ideas, consulting and planning assistance to other members and their clients.
The Association is guided by an International Board of Directors, made up of volunteers from across the world in four active international regions – Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and North America.
With a wide variety of languages, cultures and regulatory regimes, doing business across the world can be challenging. In many countries, personal relationships are the foundation of good business practice.
As a member of CPAAI, you can benefit from the kind of regionalised market access and expertise usually only available to a major multi-national firm. You can also offer your services to help other members and their clients widen their business horizons.
Each member has in-depth understanding of local business culture and compliance protocols – both vital when you’re targeting a new market.
We offer exclusivity in many countries. Alternatively, we support mutually productive working where there is more than one member.
